Held at the state-of-the-art Eastside Rooms, the event brought together over 300 professionals from the life insurance industry, fostering a vibrant environment of learning and collaboration.

The conference featured a line-up of esteemed speakers who delved into pressing topics such as:

  • The future of diet-related disease prevention

  • The use of stem cells for treatment in acute myocardial infarction
  • The implications of Assisted Dying and the Leadbeater Bill

  • How to interpret thrombophilia screening results, determine when family screening is necessary and the role of genetic testing when underwriting
  • The recovery of cancer in children and the impact of treatment on patients in later life
  • The disruptive transformation potential of innovation within the NHS

Each session offered valuable insights deepening our knowledge which in turn enhances the work we do in supporting underwriting and claims assessment teams across the globe.

Beyond the sessions, the opportunity to connect with peers from across the UK, Ireland, and even as far afield as Australia was invaluable. The diverse perspectives and shared experiences enriched our discussions and underscored the global nature of the challenges and opportunities we face.
