HCB is delighted to have reached agreement with Zurich’s Life business in Ireland to provide its Early Intervention Services to support Zurich’s Group Income Protection product, commencing in September 2019.
HCB will be delivering the service using its nationwide coverage of Clinical Case Managers, who will be working directly with employees of Zurich’s insured GIP clients who are absent from work through illness or injury, actively case managing their return to work. HCB’s Early Intervention service is well utilised in the UK by Insurers and Employers, and HCB clients value the service because of the excellent return to work statistics and level of customer satisfaction achieved.
Jim Harris, Managing Director of the HCB Group commented; “The arrangement we have reached with Zurich is evidence of their commitment to the support of employees of insured GIP clients. We are totally confident that the addition of these will make a very real difference to Irish employers who insure with Zurich, and deliver an unprecedented level of service to the ultimate benefactors – the sick or injured employees. We have had very positive feedback from Irish EBC’s about the introduction of this service into Ireland”.
Joe Creegan, Head of Corporate Life and Pensions, Zurich said: “We are looking forward to working closely with HCB to provide early intervention services to our Employer clients. Zurich supports mental wellbeing as part of its CSR commitment and through this arrangement we are focusing on employee wellbeing. We recognise that this is a vital factor in the modern workplace. Having independent nurses available who can provide expert services to help support employees in returning to work following illness or injury is key to ensuring we provide a leading Income Protection service”.
