HCB’s 2019 Case Managers Conference

The 2019 HCB Case Managers Conference was held at the New Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield last week and consisted of a 2 1/2 day programme designed to be both interesting, relevant, and to provide ongoing training and learning for our Clinical Case Mangers.  HCB’s Services are underpinned by 3 pillars:  communication, causation and duration. Last year we focussed on communication, and so the 2019 programme addressed the ‘causation’ pillar which enabled us to drill down to the detail of what really takes people out of the workplace, and understanding the often complex diagnoses that come up time and time again.  

Our case managers heard presentations from 3 very eminent professors steeped in academic research, and significant experience of absence management and occupational health. Amongst other presentations, our people had time to network with colleagues and share ideas and experiences.  It was a brilliant event and we are all looking forward to next years’ already!
